Week with Shaunae's Gangs

Our week has been quite delightful. Monday Amos had his stitches removed and lost the "cone of shame"...SQUIRREL!!!! We also had Patrick for a sleepover before he and his older brother, Greyson, going on the Mormon Trek. Also a visit from Tony with Shyla and Rhett.

We missed Jaymie and her gang at family swim. We were pleased to have a nice double surprise, Grandpa Rod and Matt were able to join us. Yippie!!! They are now wondering why they have not joined us before. Duh!!!! LOL we have so very much fun. Grandpa Rod has decided to change his Wednesday golf so he can be with us. Great news.

I realized that the summer is almost over. School will be starting soon. Yeah, I know :o( We should all try for a end of summer swim party with all that can come. Let me know what you think.

Love to all, enjoy the pics!!!

More July Fun

Oh my, such craziness around here lately.  With pictures and a bit of typing I might be able to catch everyone up...

We missed our usual Wednesday Swim on the 8th due to people not feeling well. Darn it!  By Saturday the 9th all were well. Deborah put on one of her masterpiece baby showers for Candace.  So funny that I ran into Candace and Pam the day before at Babies R Us. Candace was able to pick out her high chair a tradition that Papa and I do.  Fun was had by all at the shower. I certainly enjoyed catching up with everyone. Lola is still recuperating and was missed.

Then came Sunday which was a very rough day.  For those of you that have not heard, our sweet Amos was attacked by a dog not leashed.  Poor little guy lost his right eye. Our Vet, Dr. Neal tried for an hour and a half to save the eye.  He called to explain what he felt best, we agreed and now Amos has no right eye. We would much rather have him with us.  We were told how lucky he was.  If the bad, bad dog had bitten through his neck any further he would have punctured his jugular.  There would have been no way I could have gotten him to Cottonwood Animal Hospital in time.  As it was I drove with 1 hand, no license.  To say the least we are very grateful.

Then came the week of the 13th through 19th. Monday through Friday Nick and 2 of his friends, Patrick (of course)  with his younger brother Kaidan went to a Vacation Bible Camp.  They had so very much fun. Each day, but Wed. they were there by 9 a.m., done and in the pool by 1:00.  Taylor came to stay with us for a couple of days so she joined in the fun.

Wednesday was fun gran kid swim.  Had a wonderful time then pizza for lunch.  Great idea grandma Deb!!!!  Looking forward to this Wednesday.

We had our dear, sweet Auntie Chris stay with us for  a couple of days.  It was grand seeing her.  We were able to go to dinner with her and Heidi. What a kick.  Art came into town to pick her up and go to the Jensen Reunion festivities.

This past Saturday the 18th, Rod went out through the garage to get the paper. CRAZY...the front passenger window of my car was busted out, just hanging there. See pic. We have no idea what happened.  Heat maybe. The people that repaired it couldn't figure it out either.  We heard nothing, the dogs heard nothing, the alarm did not go off.  Chalk it up to another mystery for the Cushings.

Love to all.  Enjoy the pictures.

July 4th, 5th and 6th

WOW!!!! What a fantastic holiday.  Wonderful family having lots of fun.  Grandpa Rod and I are so very blessed and thank the good Lord everyday.

We 1st had water fun, games and fireworks at Deborah & Rod's. Also included was a marvelous bar-b-que! Gigantic kudos to Deborah for all that she has done over the long weekend.  You are awesome!!! Then we were off to the Salt Lake Country Club for fireworks and I mean fireworks!!

Sunday Lilly Ann Cropper was blessed. Almost all of the Cushings and Croppers were present. Grandma Lola was missed, our thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery.

Oh, we weren't done yet. There was swimming at our place then Grandpa Rod took us all to Woody's. Hip Hip Hooray Grandpa!!!!!!

Friday Fun

We have had a fun-filled Friday.  First Nicholas and I headed over to "The Club" for lunch with Chanen and Halli. I had such a lovely time!  Check out the pictures.  Yes, that IS a pickle she is eating.  Kosher, of course. LOL She loved it!!!! Nick adores his little sister and the feeling is mutual to say the least.

Later we headed to the pool for a lot more fun.  Great way to cool off on a fun day.  So looking forward to all the festivities for this weekend.  The 4th it is off to Rod and Deb's for lots of water fun and games. Then a wonderful bar-b-que is planned.  Later we will all be going to Salt Lake Country Club for fireworks!!! Sunday our darling Miss Lilly will be blessed with all attending. Monday more fun at the pool. You can imagine with Jason, Verity, Rhiannon and Wade in town for a few days we will be making grand use of every minute.

I will have lots of fun stories and pictures after the holiday.  Our love and blessing to all!

Oh, and please see if you can guess who that is in the 4th pic down. Good luck!

Swim Fun

What a fun, fun time we all had today.  As you can see we were actually able to get all the kids in one spot at one time. Not necessarily all looking the same direction... :0)
During all the fun and games our thoughts were with Grandma Lola who was going into surgery this afternoon.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Patrick Nick's BFF was here for a sleepover.  They have been the best of buds since 3rd grade. They are more like brothers really.  So that extra blond kid on the end...that's Pat!

Jason, Verity, Rhiannon and Wade will be here this evening.  It will be just grand seeing them. What a wonderful, fun filled (and long) trip they have had from Virginia. (Check out their blog, Verity has been keeping it up to date while on the road. Amazing!!!!) Stopping over until Tuesday the 7th then they will be on the last leg to Ridgecrest, CA.  Papa's favorite city!!

The plans for this weekend are a fun filled 4th of July at Rod and Deb's.  With all the gangs! So looking forward to it.  It has been a few years since ALL the Cushing gangs were in one place at one time.

Please remember the men and woman that are at this time fighting for and protecting our freedom.  May the Lord bless them and keep them safe.

Love and Happy 4th to all!
